trads are close second because of their potential for needing rescue and annoying rants about ethics, permadraws, tick marks, and how they sport climb for 'fun', but would oh so much rather be suffering on a 5.8 in the mountains.

The most annoying beginner is the beginner who's in over his head and clogging up the route you want to warmup on or cruise. All boulderers are obnoxious so there's no point in differentiating between the beginners and old hands.

beginners as a whole don't annoy me anymore than children, untrained dogs, people spraying, people that wear beanies, people that 'own' a route for a day, people that play crap music, people that rant on about ethics while getting into their 22 mph 2011 tacoma...

I'd be ranting too if my year old vehicle had a top speed of 22 mph. Hell, I averaged that pace over a hundred mile ride on a bicycle.
