I hurt my right middle finger over the course of a few months while training for some routes in the Buttermilks. I have rested it for about 2 months now, but it is not much better. I have seen an orthopedic specialist, but he said he had never seen an injury like this, and did not know how to diagnose it. I am looking for a doctor who knows something about this. I can provide details of the injury if someone out there is an expert on this.

It's killing me not being able to climb. I have two routes taunting me as I go to bed every night, and I can't do anything about it. I'm just looking for some help. Thanks.

Not in LA, but

Dr. Mark Robinson
Mammoth Hospital
85 Sierra Park Rd
Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546

While still a medical student, Mark was part of the team, along with Steve Levin and Sandy Stewart, that made the 1977 first free ascent of the Southeast face of the Lotus Flower Tower in the Logan Mountains, NW territories. (19 pitches, V 5.10+ or 5.11-, FA James P. McCarthy, Tom Frost, Harthon (Sandy) Bill, 1968) and I think he specializes in hand surgery.
