How cold? Below freezing, so your bag will come in handy. It may be Cali but it still gets cold. Being that you're from Canada you may find it mild as it's usually quite nice save for storms.

You can goto www.wunderground.com and get the historical data for anyplace. Great site. I'm heading south around the first of Feb as well looking for good weather. Maybe Red rocks, Jtree, and Zion.
Maybe hookup and climb.

I was just there over new years. The weather forcast didn't look all that great but most of the precipitation was at night. The day temps were barable to very nice. It was t-shirt weather sometimes. The Buttermilks had a like 8" of snow but were still climbable. Bring a tarp or something. The happies were usually very nice. BTW, it can be dark and windy in the milks, but full sun in the happies. It's a strange place.
I would say unless there is a a huge storm predicted to coome through, go for it. Bishop is kind of like a weather bubble. Hope that helps. ~Arnold

This Feb is either great or epic. The storm prediction is for more snow. But, there is so much snow now, you can ski Mammoth until the climbing season opens.

Well, the buttermilks are currently covered and I hear the Happies have a few inches. It is warming up here and a couple people I know in Bishop say it's warm enough to climb, but this year is El Nino, even if it is warm enough, it might be raining. I'd wait if I were you. I live here and i don't even want to waste time freezing down there when I could go skiing. And I like climbing way more.

The Happy and Sad Boulders are snow free at the moment.

The Buttermilk has some snow but is very climable as is the Druid Stones.

I'm going to Bishop the last week in March. I've been told that the weather is perfect at that time. Not to cold or to hot
