I'm sure this has HAD to have been posted before, but this series of videos is awesome for beginners (like me). I've been to a gym before but the knots, etc weren't taught, and it was a totally different belay mechanism. That is priceless! I love his explanation at the 12:49 mark, "...before you know, you're rolling weed and answering the phone all at the same time..." There's a lot to be said for people with a huge amount of experience. Being an instructor (in another field) myself, I often find that my students will ask questions about somethings they see other experienced and highly regarded people do, in a puzzled manner because that person is doing something that is considered a "breaking of the rules". I'm not advocating breaking rules but there are some instances where there can be some deviation. I'm sure many of you can cite your own examples...
