Does anybody have any DIY training gear. I have an attic wall and a hangboard already, but I want to totally trick it out with tons of training gear. What do I want to train? Everything! All suggestions are welcome. P.S. I would really like a homemade crack of some sort.

Do you want it vertical or overhanging? GO

Ben Moon has a bunch of training info on his site. There's always a campus board and a HIT board.

More for ice climbing, but this here is my drytool board. Can do simple laps to deadhangs to fig-4s and such. Not that I've ever had to do a figure 4, but when it happens, I'll be ready.

I made myself a crack hangboard that I'd be more than happy to pass on so others may suffer haha. Basically two rectangular boards about 2' long 1' tall are connected at each corner by 8" screw things. The back board is stationary but the front one has bolts and washers on either side (inside and out) so that you can adjust the width anywhere from fingers to handstacks. I have mine hanging from webbing by two extra holes at the top but you could easily mount it over a door frame. Jamb your hands then hang, pull-up, raise your legs, plank, whatever. Its tough! Next is one twice the size for chicken wing/knee lock capabilities

To the original poster, if you are making a crack machine from scratch, I would suggest doing a bit of extra work and making it adjustable. Pans for adjustable width and angle are pretty easy to find, but I also always thought it would be cool to adjust the flare of the crack, too.
