Hey guys, I am pretty new to climbing, I've been at it for almost five months. I was thirteen when I first climbed, and I almost made it to the top of an 11.A. Well, I finally was able to pursue climbing about four months ago, and as I didn't have a partner, I've just been bouldering. To my disappointment, I could only boulder V2's, but now I'm up to V6 and V7's. I really think I have good potential as a climber, and I absolutely love it. Therefore, I want to train like a maniac, and do it right. Since I have little experience, I was wondering if you guys could help me. I'm looking for number of days I should train, when I should use different methods of training, how long I should rest for between climbs, etc. Anything that could help me keep progressing at this rate.

Purchase a copy of "The Self Coached Climber". It is filled with great training advice.

Training hard this early in your climbing career is not recommended because a) technique gains will do much more for you than strength at this point. b) you will quickly injure yourself I highly recommend not rushing into things too quickly. Once you are ready to train, the first step is to identify your weakness in climbing. You can then devise a plan to target that.

Wish I'd read this thread before I did it. Good advice -- heed it. At the time, my enthusiasm surpassed my skill level.

If you want to be competitive then the thing to do these days is hire a coach. I would no recommend it but that's what the kids are doing. Otherwise, at your age I would just climb as much as possible, have fun, and not "train" until you're at least 16. You don't need to go anywhere near a campus board. Just climb a lot.
