If I'm lucky it'll be nice enough I can putter in the garden for the day. I'm psyched for the cooler weather. It was literally too hot to climb at Shagg on Wednesday. We had to go hide in the bat cave and take a siesta mid-day. in mid march? w ow. Yeah - shagg can be a bit of a hot box and it was already mid-80s in the sun.

Course... I'll bet teh cheap dvd player and our pornos weren't recovered... fuking 909ers. Typical smash and grab, steal everything ewe can grab fast, dump most ov it. well, that is mostly gud. cept teh part where she has to take tyme oft ov werk to drive to Claremont to ID and claim her shitz and teh evedence lockup is only open M-f, 8 to 4. Well, that was a really cool weekend at the smug atheism rally. Today's going to be hell, though. We got back last night at 3am, I slept for 3 hrs, and now have to work 8 hrs at McJorb and then teach a two hour class. Going to be a zombie today, ugh.

Yeah, just started a 9-5 in addition to my teaching evenings. It's gonna be a busy couple of months. Just picked up a bench press on craigslist, though. Woo! I've been working on my antagonist muscles the last three months and have a marked improvement on overall body balance and strength. It really is crazy how much unbalance 20 years of climbing has on the body.

camhead wrote: caughtinside wrote: So camhead's comments about bouldering vids got me thinking... all this time I have only been pretending to know what dubstep is. I know, I know, old and so far out of what's cool it isn't funny. I mean, isn't it just white people remixing beetz on computers? So I looked it up on wiki. I think it is just white people mixing beetz on computers. BUt then they went a step (ha ha!) farther and said that the american version of dubstep is brostep! I luv it. *creeps back to stereo, cranks up CD of "Smells Like Teen Spirit"* Yeah, I found out the other day that I don't know what dubstep is either. I still think that it is just when techno is slow, and has sounds like lazers coming out of broken speakers. And it's stupid. Had a pathetic "my generation" moment the other day at the gym. Was blasting some hippity hops on my ipod, and some 20 year old sez, "whoa, what Pandora station is this?" When I told him it was my own music, on my own device, he looked at me like WTF? Back in my day, we had to load all our mp3s onto an ipod that didn't have 3g! Uphill both ways! And it wouldn't even fit in skinny jeans! I used a walkman, with tape, bouldering on rock and ice too. In CO one morning the damn thing froze up and wouldn't turn. Talking 'bout my generation.
