Sacrifices need to be made to lose weight! I sometimes crave pasta or rice but it's fine if I can chow on protein, some fat and a bunch of veggies/salad. Pretty much the only starchy stuff I eat now are sweet potato, beets, butternut and the occasional black beans. No pasta, no rice, no bread (don't crave it anymore), no regular potato. I've also cut out dairy and soy. I do love pasta....but I find I climb better the next day if I do a bit of carb loading the day before. Maybe I could have something else that'll do the same thing for me but when I kept my calorie intake and diet basically the same through the week my weekends suffered.

I think the clamhats are going to experiment with eliminating flour products from our diet. Being de-facto partially glutarded has seemed to help yours truly. I still get to drink beer, but the last time I ate wheat pasta was a while ago.

camhead wrote: Shit, that sucks. I've heard similar stories about the commercial guides in the past doing stuff like that: dropping weaker climbers from tours, canceling tours if they're too hungover; fucking lame. They clearly do not see it as a "commercial" operation. The scene at the Rock Ranch was always pretty lame. Too bad that Hueco is the most awesome bouldering in the nation. Yeah, the scene and the regulations definitely detract from the experience here. I would come back here, even with all the crap. But definitely not this time of the year. Way too hot by now. It is also pretty much deserted, since it is so hot. To the point where we might go for the entire day and not run into any climbers at all. Kind of sucks, actually, because on most stuff here extra pads and spotters would be very welcome.

Good times in the park as always... went out to Hound, to seek shade on the Crescent Wrench. That thing is pretty good! Short though. Tried Direct Wrench next. fell a couple times, figured it out. Went down, tried it again and fell on the very last move. damn. Didn't care enough to try it again. Inspected the approach for Animalitos and Animalargos but found that it looks low 5th and has a very active beehive in it. After that, went to Erotic City. Nice n' shady. First run, was just trying beta that was so bad it was pathetic. Tried like 10 times, just hanging and whining. Tried something different and got it first try. Lowered down that one too, put on the gud bootz, and fired it. Did some of the other dinky things over there too. Leg Lifter, Hot Lips, and Vulgar boatmen. noice.

Yes, this is my plan. Maybe Tuesday? you'll definitely want to avoid hanging the HBaS drawz on lead, and probibly want to TR it before trying to fire it -- blowing the 4th clip at the end of the crux sequence would put you fairly close to the ground. you can lead up nostalgia and then traverse over to hang HBaS. also maybe check out Survival of the Fittest and Leviathan, those are good as well.

So I'm kinda bored when I get an email from home saying that the sex offender registry has been updated. Not too interesting, right? Well, I started through the pictures to see if there was anyone I recognize, and then I see this peach:

Yea, I didn't look very closely at teh won teh gud doc linked, cuz I didn't likes it. I did like teh steep won though, figured it wus when he wus shooting her on teh Sic Gnar, but I wus rong. After looking more closely to teh bad won I cood see that she is on teh slightly overhanging slabby section ov teh Drive By. Again looking more closely at teh won I did like, I cood see that she in on teh undercling section, going in to teh crux on teh drive by.
