I slipped on some ice in the talus and my left leg went into a hole up to my knee, and my upper body with pack full of gear decided to go over backwards while twisting. Good times! I got a couple nasty bleeding flesh wounds on opposite sides of the leg, and for the past two days I have been walking around like a half-a-hunchback, or a quasi-Quasimodo. I am getting shooting pains up the entire leg, primarily in the calf muscle and radiating all the way across my left butt cheek. I can only stand for about 2 minutes at a time. Off to see the chiropractor in a couple hours, hoping he can reverse the tweak. Wish me wellness; I need your sympathies. Tomorrow will be two weeks since this happened and my leg and ass still throb if I stand for more than 5 minutes at a time. I also get a slight numbness in my toes, and today I almost had to sit down to finish rinsing off in the shower (sorry for the visual...) This weekend will have perfect weather, just mocking me. Sux balls. this sounds serious. so, what's up? Just got back from a string of doctors, technicians, and waiting rooms with bad magazines. X-rays showed a hairline fracture of the tibia. There is also a likely muscle tear, but I will have to schedule an MRI for another day. Ultrasound revealed no clotting, so I shouldn't be stroking out anytime soon, at least from that. For now I was given crutches and percosets, guess which one I prefer using... The tingling in my toes and sharp pains in my arse and thigh are likely associated nerve damage. At least no one ragged on me for waiting two weeks before seeing the doc. I didn't bother telling them that I lead two 5.9s after the accident because they would have had no idea what that means. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I suspect adrenaline helped with those, but the 3/4 mile hike out didn't help any. The good doc couldn't give me any timetable for a return to climbing pending more detailed tests. Fock. Ouch. If you have obscene amounts of time on your hands, may I reccomend the series "Game of Thrones" and the game "Eve online" ? Don't do it man!! Just PC++ like the rest of us! What's that? I should send you a free 21 day EVE trial? Can it run on iPhone? I gave up the computer months ago and do 98% of my knob posts by smartphone

I deconstruct trash, then crease and fold it by some order of magnitude before I dispose of it. I am ridiculed mercilessly for this.

However, the wife will through the boxes into the bins in the office and kitchen with out breaking them down. I break them down and fold them flat. Saves me from taking the extra trip out to the recycle bin. Idon't know if overall I'm saving work for myself or knot.
