Hi! I am new to the Malibu area and am looking for some fun folks to climb with. I don't have much leading experience, but would love to learn. I am free on weekends. Send a message if you want to meet up... callie.nelson@snc.edu

I can bring my rope and setup if anyone is interested in climbing Malibu area. I think there's another beach area with some routes with fantastic view not far from Malibu state park.

You're talking about Point Dume. Easier slabbier routes on the beach side. Several steeper 5.10s on the oceanside. All of it can be easily toproped. The climbing is mediocre. The setting is spectacular. If you've seen the recent SUV commercial that mimics Gulliver's Travels (Giant doode/Miniature people), that's your cliff in the background.

Hi there, just joined in hopes of finding some climbing partners for this coming weekend, Sunday and/or Monday actually (April 15-16) near the Santa Monica Mountains. Will be heading that way tomorrow. I'm pretty new to outdoor climbing, have harness/shoes/ATC, no rope or rack and no lead experience. Most comfortable outdoors at a 5.8 to easy 5.9s, but can give a go at 5.10. Would love to jump in with anyone who's going to be out there and willing to have an extra person along! amy beth
