I recently ordered some evolv shamans. I wear a size 12 street shoe comfortabely. But I ordered a 12.5 because i heard the shamans are pretty tight. Was that a good decision? Im scared they might still be too tight? Will they break in? Thanks, Nick

I'm assuming this is your first pair of aggressive shoes. If so, yes they'll be tight, but you probably should have gone with your street size. Downturned shoes lose their advantage when they're sized so they're sloppy. You won't be able to wear them for more than 10-15 minutes, but you'll never need to. Also, the Shamans size tight better than any other tight shoe I've tried.

Yes, they are VERY tight. I also find that 10 to 15' is about what I can wear them now. I went up a half size. After 15' I am wishing I went up 2 sizes

I also recently got the Shamans and went with my street shoe size. There was another guy at the store buying them at the same time and he sized up .5. The other guy is a regular at my gym so I asked him a few weeks after buying them how he liked the shoes. He said that he wished he bought the smaller size... Myself I'm really happy with the shoes but can only wear them for about 15minutes at a time like others say. It's fine for doing routes and taking them off right away but kind of annoying for bouldering where I normally keep shoes on for the duration of the session. So I don't wear them for bouldering and stay with my comfy shoes. I've even worn them crack climbing and they were phenomenal for jamming my toes into the crack but not so awesome for smearing (as one would expect with an aggressive shoe)

I have the Rasta Shamans and i went with a 12. I wear 11.5 typically but i have some shoes in 12s. They are tight BUT the design does its job comfort wise. My toes fit really nicely and there is no dead space. The only issue i have with the shaman isn't with the sizing. After some extensive use the rubber tends to lose its edge and curl up, IMO i think its because they use so much rubber. But other than that its great!

I wear 12/46 street and got 12 Shamans. Snug enough to not be painful to wear for a while, but I still take em off since the downtown makes for some hotspots when standing around. I would have gone half a size larger probably if I were buying for harder MP and wanting to wear them for a few hours at a time.
