Any suggestions on where to go? A friend and I are planning on heading out for most of the weekend. I'd prefer to backpack a few miles in to camp and avoid the crowds. Any suggestions? I was looking at maybe Black Rocks outside of Frederick. Maybe White Oak Canyon? Idk... hard to tell just reading online.

Willing to drive 2-3 hours outside of Baltimore. Looking to TR only.

Yea I've never actually be up there, i'll have to check it out. Looks like terrible weather though. Might try to race up there first thing in the morning tomm and try to get a few hours in.

Are there tree's to anchor to reasonably close?

An hour from Black Rock road i'm assuming? I imagine 40 has to be closer to 1.5-2hrs.

I've always went up the AT from 40 but with the weather the way its looking i'll probably try Black Rock road or whatever its called.
