This week we're announcing some special events to help the efforts to keep Castle Rock State Park open. On May 18th and 19th, Chris Sharma will be in the Bay Area to give three presentations about his climbing career, which had it's real rock origins in April of 1993 at Castle. All proceeds from these events will be donated to the cause. Mark your calendars for the following dates:
May 18th Clif Bar Headquarters Theater, Emmeryville, Shows at 7pm and 9pm
May 19th Rio Theatre, Santa Cruz, 7pm
More information is available here:
Tickets for the Clif Bar shows go on sale April 22nd here:
Tickets for Santa Cruz will be on sale as soon as a few last details are ironed out. Keep tuned to the Facebook site for that info, or look for the link here. However, a special opportunity for front row Santa Cruz tickets is available at Pacific Edge's Castle Rock event April 21st (tonight!).
Hope to see you all there. This is an important cause. Despite recent news stories, keeping Castle Rock open permanently will require about $4 million, and less than half that has been secured so far.
