Some friends of mine are going camping near Boone this weekend and I know there is a lot of climbing in the area. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for places to sport climb or TR. We are also going to have some beginner climbers with us so I am looking for a place that has some 5.7's to 5.10's or something in that range. I have heard that "the dump" has some good climbing but I have never been there. I just figured someone here would be able to point me in the right direction.

Love the Boone area. I'm fairly new to climbing, but know that Ship Rock offers a variety of routes from 5.5 up.
