I'm at Red Rocks as a second and a nut gets stuck... I'm about to give up when my friend yells "Spit some water on it" Badabing! First pull and it's out... Works like magic on limestone. If you have a trick or technique to pull pro out please share!

That trick works even better with cams. ALL the cams I ever bootied came out that way.

Take a wire coat hanger, put a little hook on each end, then fold the whole thing a few times and keep it handy on your harness. It's great for fishing out things deep in cracks, or folded in half, you get two hooks to pull on triggers or lobes.

Water greatly reduces the frictional coefficient of the metal and the rock. This is why cams are a no no in wet cracks.
