Hey. This week I saw a couple of my friends emotionally break down because of their inability to cope with injuries... As a guy who's had his fair share of injuries (the most pervasive and frankly annoying of which have been in some way related to climbing), I understand what that's like. Today I found this vid, probably old, video but I'm posting it here in the hopes that it could help someone, ya know? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLRRwBbIIH0 IMO the formula for overcoming even despairing injuries consists of good resting habits, good nutrition, being patient while time does its thing, working with a health professional who's truly dedicated to helping you get better, and at least as important as all of the former, not giving up on yourself.

This guy is inspiring, definitely. I just tried some yoga poses, and they still really hurt my stupid shoulder injury. I think more rest is in order.

When I was 20 I had an illness that kept me virtually bed-ridden for over 2 years. When I had to take a 6 month break from climbing while doing PT for a shoulder injury, it was a walk in the park. Perspective is everything.
