Hi. I'll be in and around the Alps for July and August. Would like to link up with some climbers for alpine rock, sport or trad. Will lead 5.9 trad, .10a sport; have followed up to .11a; will free solo up to 5.7. Am based in Canada and have all possible gear, but for Europe was planning to take only what I need for soloing. Was planning to get around by public transportation. But (shared) car rental, and extra gear could be discussed. Am leaving Canada June 3; will be harder to contact after that, but hopefully my new smartphone will allow me to answer mails. Best to mail me directly: ravonberg@gmail.com.

Hi, can you please "translate" your grades to French system? Couldn't find a fast way to compare.

Well, my best guess is: 5.8 = 5c; 5.9 = 5c+; 5.10a = 6a; 5.10b = 6b. Maybe .10a = 6b, etc. Hope this helps. Reinhard.
