Just thought we'd share Adam George's instructional video on how to make a tape climbing glove. Adam is an OR athlete and an IFMGA licensed guide. He has lots of experience under his harness.

If this video even prevents one scraped hand, it has done its job.

Nice video.

I've found this method to work well also:

There are different gloves for different uses. For normal hand jamming I like a variant of this reusable glove: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCjvTc-7Z6M with the small difference that I use shorter strips that do not go back down on the hand again. The strips are split in the finger end and pass the nuckle by about an inch. Wrap the split ends around the finger, one over the other. This makes the glove a bit less bulky. To reuse, just cut the tape around the wrist and remove the glove. Add a new strip around the glove the next time you use it. Sometimes you need more protection on the sides of the hand (fists and stacks): just add tape there. Most of the times itīs not needed, but once in a while when you need to pull hard in a fist at the same time as you change the direction of the force (long moves etc) itīs really good to have.

Am I the only one that read too much into this?

Hey, dont talk shit; I have a friend that onsightes 5.11 Yosemite trad and he uses them. Wink Apparently they are a hot item, the Yosemite Mountain Shop is out of stock on them right now.

Anyway, I just use the method taught by Metolius, it works great.
