Many years ago, when I was young a single, a little. Mostly just let then buy me dinner when I went up to see them. Now, we have a pile of kids, we pay more often than not. Kids do eat up all grampa's cereal though.
I write never, but I live overseas and have for a long time now.
I guess I could also say sometimes because I receive some mail at my mother address, my American driver's license is also her address. Beyond that, never really have.
Even when I spent much time climbing on the road, I didn't ask mom for help. I would have felt like crap knowing I was out climbing full time and then relying on my working full-time mother to help me.
I have hosted countless climbers, some that I never met before they showed up on my doorstep, over the years. Over a dozen this year alone, half of them met via this website.
