I'm going to buy my first pair of climbing shoes and I know what I want, something well rounded. I enjoy all forms of climbing crack, bouldering and high wall. I want a shoe with good edging and point for bouldering but also not too arched so I can climb well in cracks.

Any suggestions? Links.
All is appreciated

Get whatever fits your feet the best. (That means you have to try them on first.)

How is it that you're after your first pair of shoes but have enough experience to know that you enjoy all forms of climbing?

I'd recommend something basic like the LS Tarantula, Nago, or even perhaps the Katana (velcro version).

But like he^^ said, get something that fits well, which means trying them on.

Anyone else unfamiliar with the bolded type of climbing?

That's when the wall gets really baked before standing there to be climbed on. It's a bit tougher than regular climbing because the wall keeps swaying around.

For a first shoe? I'd recommend save the $60-80 and get the Tarantula or Nago.

don't get anything too fancy or expensive. The tarantulas are a good recommendation. Or the La Sportica Nago (was mine). It's good to get a decent pretty much flat shoe that doesn't cost too much.

You'll abuse your shoes as you progress and improve your technique. After a while, you'll know if you need to upgrade.

The 5.10 Moccasym is a nice shoe that is pretty flat and performs very well on varied terrain. I have used it on everything from bouldering routes to multipitch trad crack climbs. beware they stretch a ton!
