I did quite a bit of bouldering when I was younger and my wife and I started climbing again over the last 6 or 7 months. We have been sport or top roping together and with friends when we can get them out. I have had an insatiable draw to trad climbing and multi-pitch climbing since I was younger but have never had the opportunity to get into it. I live in Asheville NC and can easily get to rumbling bald, looking glass, boone etc.

I am looking for someone who would not mind letting me follow and clean some climbs with them. I can climb 10.a TR, 5.8ish sport. I believe I would feel comfortable climbing anything 5.8 or lower. Im not sure how my endurance will be on a multi-pitch route only because Ive never climbed a multi-pitch route before. If there is anyone out there who would not mind me coming a long to clean your routes please let me know. I want to start this endeavor by just following as many experienced climbers as possible to start evaluating their placements and getting ideas of what kind of a rack I need.

I have a rope and 13 quickdraws plus 6 or 8 slings of different lengths. I would be happy to put the climbs on my rope and pay for gas. Thanks for anyone willing to respond to this post and PM me if anyone is interested in a partner.

I'm out of Charlotte NC and my wife and I have also just gotten back into climbing. We like Crowders Mtn and it's probably not too far from you and we would also go west to meet up with you as well. I'm kinda busy for the next weekend or two but I'd lve to catch up with you to try to set something up. I'm more geared towards top roping at the moment but am also everexpanding my gear and picking up protection to lead. Let me know!
