Is HCR good for august climbing. I have been to the ranch during march but never the summer so I dont really know wat to expect. Is there any cool areas there?

If you like HOT climbing. I would never go during July or August. Not only hot but humid and lots of bugs.

Yes it's gonna be hot as hell. You can chase shade some. Pretty standard climbing in the south in the middle of summer - man up, bring tons of water and you'll be fine.
