What has been you most favorite climbing trip you have ever went on? Was it over seas? In the states?

Devils Tower, July 2006.

http://www.pbase.com/granite_grrl/tower_2006

We tried for another two week trip out there last fall, and while it was awesome, it wasn't nearly as awesome as the first one. Probably because my husband and I had only been married for 3 month at the time and we were so in lurve!!!

The Bugaboos August 2012. Alpine granite is the most amazing experience.

That's a tough one because they are all different, but the alpine granite in Chamonix during late June through July is the best trip I know of.

The standouts in 40 yrs of climbing were:
* my first two trips to Skaha BC
* the month and a half I lived in Tuolumne Meadows in 1980 (things were quite different then regarding both long stays and route knowledge).
* there was also a very memorable trip to Yosemite, but I forget exactly which of the 20 trips that was
* the first trip to City of Rocks, before having moved to Utah
* first trip to Cannon Mtn NH way back in college, probably summer of 75 - we did Lakeview, Weissner's, Blockade (no longer exists - fell down in the late 80s), the various pitches that have ultimately became the modern way up Moby Grape*, Sam's Swan Song, first 4 pitches of Vertigo, and the Whitney-Gilman.

*the guidebooks at the time had a number of different pitches for Moby Grape as compared to the current route.
