Hi,

I will be coming to the US for a summer road trip and will be arriving in Colorado the beginning of July.

Does anyone have any recommendations for destinations that are especially easy to find partners. Are there any camp-sites that are going to be filled with climbers?

Apart from posting on this website and Mountain Project and pinning notes to camp-site notice boards, are there any other suggestions people have for finding partners?

What are some good places to avoid the summer heat?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry, don't know much about camping in CO or finding pick-up partners here.

You might do better, too, if you say what you have in mind. Peak bagging? Sport? Bouldering? Long trad lines? Other?

Rocky Mountain National Park, and the state of Wyoming.

I think "Colorado National Park" should be "Rocky Mountain National Park"?

Yep, thanks for the catch. An editing mistake. Fixed.

Cheers,

GO

To add, the city park in Lander, WY is a good place to score partners, as is the parking area for the Wild Iris, which is where you'd be headed from that city park.

Relatedly, the free camping in Ten Sleep Canyon is a REALLY good place to pick up partners.
