So it seems like every New Year someone posts about how many days they got out the previous year. So i thought i'd put up a thread to see how we're doing at the almost halfway point. In order to try and motivate ourselves to get out more in the second half of the year. so heres my tally so far: 30 days of climbing (this includes everything from bouldering plastic to multipitching trad and sport) I've also managed a fair bit of Yoga and slacklining. And i had to take a little over a month off for a broken toe. I'm hoping to hit 100 days by the end of the year. So i have some serious catching up to do.

Not sure of the actual count but this has been a good year. This weekend will be the 11th or 12th in a row that I've climbed outside. Just got back from an eight day trip to CO last weekend. Plenty of gym sessions mixed in. Don't think I've been this fit/strong in a long time. If ever.

Since May a measly six trips outdoors. Having trouble finding willing partners in my area.

I've been terrible with a climbing journal this year, but considering it's mid-June and I've been on the rock outside since April I would guess getting close to 20 days on the rock? Including indoor climbing I have a lot more. And then there are still 20-25 days of ice climbing on top of that. Typically I get ~130 days of climbing in a year, with ~90 days outside. This year the number of days outside should be about the same, but I don't have an indoor wall to play on anymore so it'll be mostly hang boarding for me.

Outdoors this year has been pathetic so far; I think a total of 5 days. I did take a month off due to injury and I'm also getting ready to move and just bought a house - doesn't help at all. Indoors about 50 days.

34 days outside so far, counting from January 1st. mostly due to longer climbing trips over winter break and spring break.

Hm... I don't have a careful record, since I don't log all my climbing, and I really don't track gym days. I know I've been outside climbing on rock at least 24 days since the start of the year. (12 days of that was an early March trip to El Potrero Chico.) Indoors, I generally get out at least once a week, often twice a week, occasionally during the winter leading up to the EPC trip it was 3/week. I averaged at least 1.5/week, so that's another 39 or so indoor sessions.

Do you think they just made a mistake or is this a sign that you are slowly redeeming yourself in the eyes of your 1 star stalker?

4 or 5 days outside. Couple days inside. Pretty week. Wuz pushing for this weekend or next, but recovering from strained back muscle. So the start of summer is not off to a great start.

I would go for "finger slipped on a small screen/keyboard" explanation. Redemption is highly unlikely.

Way to rub it in Ed! 5 of my days were in Potrero this year and they were 5 of the best so far. Hopefully this thread is getting people motivated to finish the year strong. There are some amazing numbers already.

Probably about 60 days so far. If we're counting indoors then that pretty much more than doubles.

Counting indoor climbing is like counting jerking off when asked how many times you have been laid this year.

Since January 1st. 6 Ice (weak season, working too much) 10 Ski (ditto, who works?) 1 Alpine (seasons just starting, maybe if it ever dries out) 13 Rock (so much rain in the Bow Valley) However, I have a plan to climb 4-6 days a week . . . now if the weather would co-operate! Hopefully climbing the next 4 days strait. And who counts gym? Probably 20-30 days????
