Hi guys, I was thinking to buy a slackline (I'm a beginner). I have already tried with the 'gibbon classic 15m' of a friend during some days. I have the doubt if I should buy a gibbon or not. And if it is a gibbon, I have the doubt to go directly for another model than the classic (like the surfline). Maybe another option is to make my own slackline? like in this page (http://www.wikihow.com/Build-a-Slackline)
The only problem I find with gibbon is that the Ratchet Length is only 2 meters and sometimes it is not enough for some trees.
I have heard that the Elephant Freak can be a good option too.
For the moment I'm a beginner but I feel I'm progressing ok, so I would like to have a slackline that I could also use when I get better. My interest at the moment is to practice my balance and the walking (every time longer distances) but I'm not very interested in learning many tricks.

I'd recommend getting the 25m gibbon classic. You will be able to set it up longer distances and when you get better you will want the extra length.

It sounds like you've researched the options, but why not just start with some webbing, a few old ovals, and a line locker.

much cheaper and works great for moderate lengths.
