My garage is too small to park my car; it's only 10x14. Not sure how high the ceilings are but I don't think they're very high. Is this too small to build a bouldering wall? I do climb in a pretty nice gym but i just want to build a bouldering wall just for the hell of it--if it's worth it with the space i have. I also would kind of like to have room in the middle to put a squat rack and some weights...do you think this is enough space for all that? With the garage door opener on the ceiling, it seems that i wouldn't be able to make the walls very steep (except maybe the back wall, which would be the short (10 ft) wall, as opposed to the side walls which are 14 ft)

that should be big enough to make a very overhung boulder cave.

I think it would be a fine size, just make it a very steep incline and you'll have long, tough boulder problems.Good luck building it!

the main determining factor on layouts is the available ceiling footprint (headprint)

To clarify, are the garage door rails going to get in the way of th 14' walls? What are the dimensions of the free and clear (of obstructions) section of ceiling? Are there doorways/ windows to avoid, etc?

I am also looking to put up a bouldering wall in a small storage space, its only 10.5 x 11 and the ceiling is only 6'3".

I am thinking of using 3 sides (or 3.5) of the room with 2 panels on each side, 4 panels at 45 and 2 at 30. HIT on the end panel. I may put a single panel on the last wall for the HIT and make it a total of 7 panels too, not decided as the electrical outlets and switch are on the wall.

Are there better ideas for a small space like this?
