Having just returned back to the States after two years in Beijing, I can tell you this; even the Chinese don't the Chinese shit.
I never spent much time with the rock climbers, but most of the ice climbers I knew/ climbed/met /watched, climbed on Grivels,Petzls, or Black Diamonds.
The locals were very aware of the Petzl forgeries( I never saw any), were very safety conscious, and were willing to spend big chunks of change on good gear.
The only" Chinese" gear I ever saw was 'biners with the "Kailas"name: a Chinese decent pack company, and some maingey harnesses I saw in a army surplus store

Many of these climbers may be using the Chinese "shit" which Black Diamond manufactures there or the products which Petzl manufactures in Malaysia.

Umm that's all nice and dandy, but I never said she is the only Asian I have ever had in my life. Trust me, I have way more experience with Asian cultures than that. Working in casinos for 15 yrs, I was trained in many asian cultures, plus had many Asians in my life in many different aspects.
But in the end, it doesn't matter. The origional post contained what I believe to be ignorant comments pertaining to one ethnic group. I did not appreciate it and voiced my concern.
If you guys want to protect and promote that kind of dicrimination, then you go right ahead.
Like I said, I am a proud Canadian, and we fight to protect diversity and multiculturalism.
Oddly enough, one of the posters here actually fought first hand to protect those beliefs! It's very ironic.

Actually, somewhat yes. My background is 50% German, 25% Irish, 25% French Canadian.
I was born in Welland Ontario, it has a large French Community. I was raised in an English peaking home, and can barely speak French any longer. I am simply Canadian, but I have a deep respect for all cultures and humans alike.
I am not trying to cause an arguement, nor do I dislike you in anyway. I don't know anything about you and therefore I would not judge you.
I am simply saying I didn't appreciate the way this post started, I consider it to be rude.
