A post about Siung Beach and how wonderful the climbing is there.
To clarify, no Siung Beach is nothing like climbing in Thailand. The beach is dirty, they are almost no climbers, and the bolts are extremely corroded. The rock is sharp, more corral than limestone and the routes are short.
I only mention this because Indonesia does have some nice places to climb, most still only have a couple of routes, but the potential is amazing.
Indonesian climbers need to learn to be honest with potential climbers visiting the area. Telling someone how great something is, and getting their hopes up is a sure way to make sure the climber loses interest.
