So My hand get sore every now and then when climbing. And after this I usually take some time to recoup. Yesterday i was on a boulder problem and it the middle finger started hurting. It was dull at first so i got off of the problem. After sitting for a bit the pain got worse. Its a sharp pain in the center digit. After some looking at some diagrams the pain seems to be around the A3 pulley. I still have full movement of the finger but it feels sore when completely flexing the finger. If I put any pressure on the finger (as in pulling or trying to climb) it's a sharp pain. Would this be related to the pulley? Or would this damage to the sheath or actual tendon? A little background. I started climbing heavily indoors a year and a half ago. I am currently climbing V6/7 (indoor ratings) Would this injury be an overuse issue? Anyone with similar injury shed some light on healing time? Or treatment methods? thanks for any and all help.
