Shoes on

Shoes on, but on the wrong feet

One shoe on, one shoe off

Holding shoes above head while crossing river

Shoes off

Shoes on hands, creating sound effects for campfire story

Shoes in carry-on bag, wearing an old pair of tennis shoes until partner gets there

One old shoe and one new shoe, walking around REI climbing department to see how they feel

I see you are very poetic about shoes...

epoch,
what a horrible, childish, thoughtless, nauseating thread you have started. Have you no empathy? Has climbing taught you nothing? I would hope the people who raised you would be ashamed of you.
Forget that... you should be ashamed of yourself.

Kind of funny. Sort of an "it could be worse" title. Hmmm, typing under the influence?

Back to the subject ...

Climbing shoes on both feet but each shoe is for a left foot.

I'd insert it just below "Shoes on, but on wrong feet."

This one is too low on the list: "Holding shoes above head while crossing river." True grit!

Cheers!
Bill L

P.S. This thread reminds of this one (I speak from experience):
"A man loses half his dignity when he gets married. He loses the other half when he has children."

I'm curious to hear your poor wife's side of the story.

Well, I need to clarify then. The saying doesn't have the kind of meaning for me that you brought up. It's more about a relatively clueless young man realizing that what he thought was the focus of life - is not.

As for her side of the story - I think she'd agree with my view. Blush

Not usually the type of post you see from a moderator. I guess this isn't the typical type of forum either.

Shoes on, leg loops un-clipped, pants down?
