CLIMBING MASTERS – DEEP WATER SOLO- 2012 YANGSHUO•CHINA

INTRODUCTION:
Event TITLE:“Honor and Fun”
This event features deep-water soloing, which is always highly enjoyable to watch, especially where the backdrop is the awe-inspiring Li River in Yangshuo. The organizing committee has set up an artificial climbing wall that reaches many meters into the air, and participants must climb extremely difficult routes without the protection of a rope. Those who cannot hold on will fall directly into the Li River.
International and domestic climbers will be invited to share the experience and passion of climbing. Also this event includes: famous athletes climb experience sharing; exchange of natural rock climbing experience and music party.
Itinerary Planning:
Arrive Methods:
Airplane: Take the airport express bus to the Gulin city center, and then catch a direct bus from the Guilin bus station to Yangshuo. The approximate costs: airport express bus to Guilin city center: 25 CNY/person, Guilin to Yangshuo 18 CNY/person. This trip will take a total of 2.5 hours to complete. You can also opt to take a taxi directly from the Guilin airport to Yangshuo at an approximate cost of 260CNY/taxi, which will cut the transit time to about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Train: Leave the train station, make a left and walk 300m to the Guilin bys station. A bus ticket to Yangshuo costs 18 CNY/person and takes about 1.5 hours.
Food and accommodation recommendations
Eat: Upon visiting Yangshuo, be sure not to miss the famous Guilin rice noodles.In addition to eating authentic Guilin rice noodles, you should also try Yangshuo beer fish, fried field snails, fermented snails, and other local specialties.
Stay: Yangshuo has numerous youth hostels, ranging in cost from 25 CNY for a dorm bed to 60——200 for a private room in a guesthouse. Prices during holidays typically increase, and all competition participants should please reserve accommodation in advance.
Free tents: We will provide tents for participants to use, free of charge (though remuneration will be required in the event of damage), and participants can set up their tents in an area near where the event will be held. However, those opting to camp must provide their own sleeping bags, mats, and other camping equipment.
In addition, we will also provide free drinks (red Bull) and beer during the event.
For the convenience of athletes and spectators, some store will set up a fast food stand in the event staging area, and those that are hungry can purchase food as so.

The information of signing up
1. All competitors should be able to swim. If you fall in to Li River, two divers are standing by for your safe.
2. Every participant will be required to sign Disclaimer contestants contract.
3. 5% of our registration fee will make a contribution to Yangshuo climbing fund for buying top anchor.
Registration fee: 120RMB/person
The registration fee includes: gifts package, Event Guidebook, admission identification, Insurance, Free tents and drink etc.
