Just wondering if anyone has ever rock or ice climbed schooner lake calabogie? It's hard to get to, but it's a beautiful spot. I've spent a lot of time there just never climbed.

I've not heard of anyone rock climbing there, but I wouldn't know about ice climbing.

Have you got a google-maps reference for where it is? I found a "Little Schooner Lake" somewhat in that area, but it didn't look to have much in the way of relief around it, nor anything like roads getting near it -- so I guess you probably mean some other lake.

Hey

Here's the URL link where I found the ice climbing. It's a beautiful lake with a nice rock cliff and I figured if there was ice climbing there'd be rock climbing as well but maybe not. I think you'd have to climb from a boat though if it was worth climbing.

Also, have you climbed Bon Echo before?

That does look like nice rock! And, yes, it also looks like it might be climb from a boat.

I have climbed at Bon Echo, it's all lake-up trad. There should be good guide-book information on the ACC Toronto web-site.
