Story goes something like this: Man was hiking with a youth and his dog, the weather started to turn sour, as they tried to escape the weather, the dog became injured and all tries to carry it out were futile. Days later somebody stumbled across the dog, posted it online and a stand-up group of individuals organised a rescue. Sounds like an incident analysis is in order. Talk about booties or knowing what youre getting into. If it had been a person left up there...

I read the whole thing, in addition to the owners response in the forum regarding his desire to get his dog back (which I hope he does not). This is not really the type of incident that we can analyze as climbers. It's not A & I material. The dog didn't rap of the end of it's leash. I just should not have been up there in the first place and the owner should not have left it for dead. There is your analysis.

Bad news, the new owner is Mitt Romney and he made Missy ride on the hood, terrified, all the way home. Woof:
