Considering adding the ferns to my road trip from Texas to VA. Worth it if there's camping nearby, but I can't find any info. I dont want to just post up a tent if that's not cool.

There are a couple campsites right at parking lot. National forest land so it's free and cool to camp. Usually nobody camping there.

I stayed there last weekend it is nice $8 night for a non electric lot and $12 for electric bathrooms and showers and only about 20 minutes from fern and about the same to Whiterock. Also a nice swimming hole walking distance from camp under bridge. Seen many people jumping in from bridge, water was clear and cold and plenty deep at bridge area.
