Hello hello, I'm looking for a climbing partner on Saturday, October 6. I can follow up to 5.9 on trad, though I can only lead on sport. I have a rope and quick draws, but I don't have a full rack. I just moved to NYC from South Africa and am keen to check out the climbing here. Give me a shout if you're interested, Lauren

Lauren, You better get there early. It's probably the busiest weekend of the year. Columbus Day (Mon.), Canadian Thanksgiving (Mon.), the Film Fest (http://www.reelrocktour.com/ (Sat),rock shoe demos from Rock & Snow (Sat. 8AM), free clinics with local guides (check schedule @ Rock & Snow) & the blackberries should still be in at Jenkin's Orchard (pick your own, of course) all add up to a harmonic convergence that says be in the Trapps parking lot before 9AM or climb elsewhere. The rest of October has lots more. http://www.rockandsnow.com/...e/content/79/Events/ Not to mention world class foliage. If you need more people to climb with you can try here. http://www.meetup.com/Rock-n-Ice/ Jim

I'm in the Gunks every weekend, rope & rack & car, lead mostly .6's & .7's, some .8's. Usually leave NYC Fri eve or Sat morn, return Sun eve. ~ beau johnson In reply to: 646 229 1301 beau@beaujohnson.com
