I am currently climbing at the Red and am driving a rather large rv. I have seen on a map that there are some potentially alternate roads which access the motherlode carpark without going down the steep hill. Is it possible (legal and not gonna piss anyone off) to get there via alternate routes and are they ok to drive with a large and ungainly rv?

Where you the camper in the Miguels parking lot yesterday? Just ask around there for a ride it shouldn't be a problem.

Yea there should still be a lot of people hanging out that are heading there. Offer beer or pizza and you should have people lining up.
