Hello everyone

i'm planning a Aid solo up the Nose, i've been on the nose before and Aid solo local walls 800 plusinh so hauling
(always sucks) and sleeping are no big deal. Soloed A3 plus FA is my hardest solo. my main concern was the king swing, hauling after hauling the swing, and after the great roof, my team didn't get to great roof, we had problems with a team member and water bottles breaking. if you have any suggestions about those two on aid solo that would be awesome.
i am doing a search on here as well for more bata too.

thanks James

Various SuperTopo.com aid soloing threads

But pay attention to any of Mark Hudon's tip, technique, or 'system' threads of the past year or two

The Nose is a great route, but "aid" soloing it seems like a bummer of an idea to me, since no doubt you'll be the slowest climber on an El Cap superhighway.

There was a guy "solo dan" last autumn who soloed the Nose under the watchful eye of Tom Evans at the bridge (elcapreport.com)

from what I remember about it, the guy ended up having to hitch rides on people's ropes not because he couldn't do the pitches, but because you spend so much time letting other parties pass that you can't get up in time before your supplies run out. Check out the website and see if you can find the comments and later info that came from it.

Of all the routes on El Cap, the Nose is one of the worst choices to solo, thanks to the cluster you will be creating multiple times. Sure, do it of you want a lot of hate directed your way.

I'd definitely go at the end or beginning of season. I've been in the valley around halloween and seen the nose vacant for days so if you get a window like that, you'll be golden. The weather is a bit more iffy, but it'd be your best bet for not feeling like you're in a river going the wrong way.

I havent been on the nose but had similar probs. on salatha and have also been working on my own solo projects and looking to do gold wall next. l just moved to s. lake tahoe to closer to yosemite. I would be up for a good aid partner along wth having enough gear for solo aid,I also have a double ledge with full fly not just rain.

I haven't done the Nose, but I imagine you'll piss a lot of people off clogging that route up as an aid solo.
