This is a developed area - going on 4 years now. I would appreciate if the person who posted this would email me.

It's entirely possible that the person who posted it will never see this thread. However, in small type at the bottom of the "About BlackLick Rocks:" section there's a link to send the editor a note. Go that route.

Can't make sense of this comment.....

When someone mentions "top ropes" at an area where all the tall stuff has already been bouldered, it makes me worry that bolts might be following.

Yes,

Bolts at a bouldering area would suck.

I doubt some random person posting an area on rc.com would constitute bolting of an area however.

We are both in agreement that bolts on a 15-20 ft high boulder problems is bad. I've notice you railing against such behavoir...

Would you not have liked to have informed the bolter in advance that the problems have been boudered?

Scoped this place out today - BEAUTIFUL rock! Would love to know some names of boulders/problems, and maybe some history on the area. Appreciate anything you can tell me!

PS, won't be bolting anything!

Brian McCall and Jim Bowers first discovered this place about 10 years ago. We call it G2 as it is an extension of Ghostown (G1). Lots of amazing lines. Scary highballs, cool aretes and amazing faces. Very similar to regular ghostown further upstream but not as much rock. Also an area directly across the creek G3.

To get to G1, do you just hike up the riverbank? or park your car further up the road?

So I guess my next step is to figure out how close together the two are. The boulder on the bouldering part of your website with the slash down the left (by the PA 50 classic boulders). Is that in G1, or G2?
