I'm headed to J-Tree this weekend solo for some climbing and photo work. Just wondering if anyone knows a solid concentration of beginner boulder problems since I don't climb very well and it would be nice not to hunt for stuff the whole time I'm there. I'm talking super easy stuff, 0's 1's and 2's. On another note, I'd like to bring my dog but apparently he can only stay in a campground. Are there any campgrounds with enough stuff to climb to where I might not have to leave? Or does anyone have any experience bringing their pooch and just laying low? Thanks y'all.

I don't boulder so I can't give advice on where to boulder but I can say that dogs ARE allowed in the campground. They must be on a leash at all times. However, it is not a dog friendly park so they are not allowed on any trails or even 100 feet off the road. Before we lived out here we would take our dog to Sheep's Pass road or one of the other dirt roads to let him off leash for a walk. It may be sticky though if you were planning on taking him for main hikes. |

It's been a while since I've been there but this one's very good to start practicing on: http://www.mountainproject.com/v/gunsmoke/105722350
