I just want to say that Obama has let a lot of people down in his 1st term. It's been 4 whole years and he hasn't fulfilled a single one of the Apocalypse profecies.
He's done an OK job as POTUS, but he's seriously got to be the worst anti-Christ ever.

This is the future. The Republicans are going to have to re-think their entire strategy. "Under-educated white males and their unfortunate spouses" is not a demographic that can sustain a political party in 21st century America.

If I'm reading the results right, same sex marriage won in Washington as well.

Did your god have mercy on our Nation? Or is this the case where god answers the prayer with a firm NO? Maybe he was otherwise occupied?

Not it my county... I voted mainly to get 3 religious nut jobs off our county school board, who all go to the same church, and 2 of which have no colledge education nor any education experience... The 3 (Dems) that challenged for their seats all retired as educators, 2 with PhDs.
(Now, I'm sure the RNJ's believe God helped them, as the Southern Baptists 'round here wield a lot of power, through their numbers)
This is the same school board who voted unanimously years ago to have a local minister teach creationism in our high school science classes, only to be suprised when it was shot down by the state:

And the nepotism... The Chair, Shirly Babson (she won again), got a $78K a year job created at the county for her son... After he had the job, the county had to meet to figure out what his duties would be. And it is a relatively poor county.

...and another thing:
There has been talk among the right wing chattering class that Obama didn't get a "mandate" this time.
While this election probably doesn't rise to that level, you have to look at in context. 2008 was a "rebuke" to Bush and his cronies. This time around the Republicans were the ones that were fired up (Obamacare, socialism...yadda) and a lot of Democrats (including myself) were "meh". Obama still won, and pretty decisively. We also picked up several senate seats (Liz Warren!!!), gay marriage and pot propositions....
I firmly believe this is a bigger win than 2008. The Republicans threw all their weight behind this and still lost.
The people of the US are telling the Republicans that the country should NOT go to the Teahadists. They need to change.
