The new Trailhead is much more accessible, though the approach has been lengthened for a few of the areas.
From Phoenix drive 101 North to Pima Road then Right on Happy Valley road. Drive East and the road curves north, there is a significant lane jog then turn right onto Ranch Gate Road. From Ranch Gate turn right onto 128th to get to the new road to the new parking and hitching areas. The road dips and curves significantly with the washes. A high-clearance car is no-longer a necessity - this also means the amount of hiking traffic may soon rival Camelback Mt.
No running water. Cell signal is available at least on the North side.
