I bet you could have looped 20 feet of thin cord like shoelace or heavy fishing line over it and sawn through it from 10 feet away with a couple rips. Or duct taped a knife to a long fucking stick. Or light a candle under it. Or paid a bum to cut it. Alas they were underprepared. No duct tape, no bums, no cord or fishing line. The knife was so blunt and shitty that he had to saw at it for quite a while. end of a stick wouldn't have really helped much. His hand was fine.

If you want to listen to some nice flamenco guitar (relaxing, not the tortured flamenco with lots of hard starts and stops) check out this Paco de Lucia set on grooveshark: http://grooveshark.com/.../Paco+De+Lucia/12581 Really good stuff, and quite different from a lot of what's famous (carlos montoya, for example). The guy is considered one of the best players, but I'm surprised at how much I really like this. and this video of alegrias (a common rhythm in flamenco) is pretty impressive. she's good, and the music is great, too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kJOM4q1pUM yes, this is research

But apparently suburban Canadians don't know how to drive heh They probably do better than S California in a slight drizzle last week I had a lady driving in front of me come to a complete stop in the middle of the road because the rain got slightly harder. No one was in front of her... straight road etc. *sigh*

OK, having listened to a full day of flamenco guitar, I realize now how foolish these "greatest guitarist of all time" conversations are. Sorry, but they do NOT start with Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc..

(<-- can't believe I spelled unnecessary correctly the first time typing it) 5 - time for lunch. urp.

Busy with getting Christmas stuff down from the garage rafters, tree up in the house, and lights up around the house. was a productive weekend, but little tired/soar noa. My electric bill is high enough with the 7-8 strings we put up. The boys were quite helpful this year.

Then pulled right in front of me and slowed down. Didn't he see my ramming bar?
