climbing in spain is coming together. I arrive late on christmas day. i'll have the 26th-28th with my girlfriend there. it'll be nice to see her again. my friend from germany arrives late on the 28th. not a lot of climbing in and around sevilla (most of it in the south is to the east of sevilla near malaga). there's the world's largest man-made gym in sevilla. It's built under a bridge and it's free. just so we can get acclimated again and to give him a chance to catch his breath after traveling, we may hit the bridge on the 29th. We haven't climbed together in a couple of years. Then we'll hit a couple of the places about an 1 - 1.5 from seville the other days, weather dependent. We may not go to the bridge at all, too. We'll figure that out as time goes on. New Year's in Sevilla. Then on NYD we'll head to Alora, near where El Chorro is, and spend the 1st-3rd there. The night of the 3rd we'll head to Malaga and spend part of the day exploring malaga. My friend leaves on the 4th. The lady and I may hit the bridge a couple of times before I leave after that, too, depending on what we're doing. It's not a climbing trip for me, but I'm excited to get out that first week. I've been thinking of El Chorro for several years now. The thing that sucks the most for me is that El Camino del Rey is closed (that's the walk with the video I posted not long ago). I wanted to do that walk, but since several people have apparently died as a result of it being severely fallen apart, the govt closed it until it gets repaired. Still, the trip is coming together. Now I just need to figure what what to do in Barcelona when we go there for a few days, and Malaga, too. I'll let the lady show me around Sevilla. Maybe we'll also hit Granada, Cordoba or maybe go the other way and hit Cadiz and Gibraltar. I wanted to check out Valencia for future living, but that's not realistic. Entao...woooo!!!

All I need is an excuse to take off and ski down here. only a partial stalking success... le bf went with a couple friends... sadly I had to work the first day and had to be a good hostess on the second day. If it gets enough snow to go again I'll all over it!

well, not sure if it's going to work out, but this is the place: http://www.ardalesvillage.com/...?RentalPropertyID=19 Looks pretty sweet. 150 euros for three nights, split up between three people ain't bad. only problem is that I'm not sure where / if there is parking. That's a bit concerning. Hopefully will know more tomorrow.

http://goo.gl/maps/e5Ir2 make sure it's on the street level view. I just kind of plonked the man down on the road between the two towns (where we're staying and where we're climbing) and it showed up right at the spot where there's a famous bridge connecting two cliffs. That's the walk in that video I posted. Google maps does a better job than the other photos. Fucking unreal! Tip: If you move your mouse over the rock, you should see some other smaller photos there. Hover over the photos to get a close up of the rock to see the path better.

It's my normal mail service. I rarely have problems. Maybe you simply don't know since it changed.
