I have read several articles about a climbing ban on all routes which lie on BLM land inside of Castle Rocks State Park.. however these articles were fairly old and I was unable to reach a conclusion about what the current restrictions/bans are.. Does anybody know? Is climbing still band on the BLM lands? Thanks! -David

And just to clarify, this is strictly on BLM land, and not actually within Castle Rocks State Park. From the Alpinist Magazine site: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has announced a ban on climbing that includes 400 acres of land and more than 40 established climbs at Castle Rocks in southern Idaho. The affected areas are located in the Castle Rocks Interagency Recreation Area, which is northwest of Castle Rocks State Park.
