I was looking at it the other day - looks a bit snowy. I was doing some aiding in Rock Canyon last weekend - there was some ice on the Green Monster slab that I was climbing on. I'm getting some practice in for that Zion climb - I'm getting more optimistic about doing it in a day - with the Russian Aiders. You still interested? Chad

I did the West Slabs in January 1977. It was a great climb. We used crampons for the slabs route and then removed them once we got to the ridge. It took a while to get to the summit so start early. We took a small rack and belayed mostly from small trees. The climbing was moderate. Had a good time! Brian
