Hey Fellow Climbers, New to these forums, but am loving what I'm seeing! We just opened up shop in Ridgway, Colorado. We design and build backpacks, messenger bags, and purses, but have recently realized that there is a serious demand for gear repair around here (and all over). We have been doing local repairs, but have decided to extend our services to mail-in repairs. We work on packs, jackets, pants, leather, zippers, and more. We can make some alterations to harnesses, but will not mess with any of the load bearing/life-saving aspects of a harness. Check out our gear repair page on our site! http://www.valentichbags.com/gear-repair/ And, of course, if you're in need of a new pack, check out our shop page. We also love to do custom orders. Happy Climbing! Jill

In reply to: $275 for a messenger bag????????? Yes, our bags are expensive when compared to companies that have factories overseas. We aren't trying to compete with Chrome or TimBuk2. We build really awesome bags that you can't find anywhere else. They are made to order, and built to last. And if you had one, you would see why they are priced at $275. Just trying to make a living, not trying to compete with the saturated market. We understand it's a lot of money to most, but we stand behind our work and hope you'll understand that you're buying from real people not some corporation. :) Here's a link to our FAQ, Why are your bags so expensive? http://www.valentichbags.com/faq/ Thanks, Jill

Your response plus what's written in your FAQ - just wow. I want a messenger bag, not a work of art that makes a political statement nor do I want to make what amounts to a charity donation to a company (you are most definitely a corporation, as I'm sure your accountant will tell you, no matter what you write in your FAQ) that isn't a 503.c non-profit. Best of luck. Maybe I'll pick one up when you go Chapter 13.

Sorry, Marc, no accountant. And, good news (!) we live in America and you can shop where you want.
