well the year ended and I was well shy of that 100 day target. I think the final total was around 65. Highlights included an 11d when i was in awful shape. taking a friend up her first multipitch. climbing past an active angry rookery. Potrero Chico! and training at home to the sweet coos of my new baby girl. So how did everyone else fair? and any targets for 2013?

by todays responses I'm guessing I didn't make it very clear that this was meant to be a followup on my 6 month check in for 2012. So I guess I was more wondering how did people finish off 2012. Especially those that had replied 6 months ago. however..... way to go for those of you killing it in 2013 so far!!!

We are back in the Embrum (haute Alps France) since the day before NY and so far its been indoor gym climbing. Lots of snow but lots of thaw :( Next week we have this http://www.thebmc.co.uk/the-2013-ecrins-ice-climbing-meet-is-open-to-all in our neighboring town but at the rate of the thaw, I think they are going to be bulldozing up towards the glacier.

Set out from WV May 9, 2012, after about three weeks of climbing, new routing, trailbuilding and camping just over the hill from Seneca Rocks. Drove from Ohio to Colorado Springs in 72 hours in an S10 loaded with everything we own in the world. Climbed in The Garden, at Turkey and Table Rocks (one day each), spent two weeks in 11 Mile Canyon, got in two days on rock in Buena Vista and spent another month, minimum three days a week, exploring the Canyon Lakes Wilderness and taking runs down to Boulder Canyon. Currently living as a site steward for the NF in AZ, with literally hundreds of untouched lines waiting just over the hill in the canyons and gulches surrounding Canyon, Saguaro and Apache Lakes. Climbed and bivvied in North Devil's Canyon, with freezing temps and high winds, built trail and put up 2 new lines on hooks over the Christmas and New Year holidays. Headed back to finish the one the drill died on this week. At present, we have been living out of a truck for the last ten months, and have climbed at least one week out of each of those months, usually more. Not bad for a couple of geezers in their 50s (one with Multiple Sclerosis), living on less than $1,000 per month, eh?
