I'm planning a rock climbing trip (single pitch or short multi-pitch sport routes, no trad) to valle d'aosta (Machaby cliff) and Finale Ligurie and I'm getting conflicting info concerning gear type. Guidebooks for Aosta region mention twin 50m ropes but many of the pictures on the internet (for what they are worth) show only single ropes. Also, the guidebook for Finale Ligurie does not mention rope lenghts. Should I bring my single (70m) or double ropes(60m)? thx!

I can't answer this properly, but I did have doubles when I went and had no complaints.
