-20C out here

fucking gorgeous 70F here with a nice breeze out of the south east, partly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain in the afternoon, and a 0% chance I'm wearing socks to the Exxon english evaluations I have to do later.
Well teh winter reigns have returned after taking most of Jan off. Not uncomon.
AS such it was time for the locals to drive like idiots. Cutting in and out of traffic at 70+. Texting while blazing pst me at 70+. pulling in fron of me at 50 while im pushing 65.

my mom was complaining on stalkbook about having to drive to bakersfield in the rain today.

in other news, new englander's continue to forge ahead with the ice on the roads.

Got 2-3 inches of snow/sleet/freezing rain today. I worked in it for 7 hours and then drove 2.5 hours home. The only time I felt unsafe was when other cars were near me on the road. People need to get their shit together.

always amazed at a person's inability to drive in snow. easiest way to learn is to go to doughnuts in a parking lot for about 30min. seriously, best fucking lesson on what could possibly happen if you do this...etc.

So true. Once you know how hard you can push a vehicle and what to do/not to do when you slide, it's all pretty straight forward.

You'd think Canadians might have a clue on how to drive in the snow.
They dont

It would appear that the only people in the world who know how to drive in the snow, also post in this thread? How interesting.

I don't know how to drive in the snow, but my car does, so I just trust it to do the right thing. Also, it ACTUALLY snowed today! Here in Denver. In case anyone missed that from my previous posts. Laugh

I don't know, maybe I should quit and be a climbing bum Cool

I'm with you. If I wasn't injured and could actually make good use of the time, I would take a leave of absence and go climbing for 6 months. I am really annoyed with my job right now.

Sammy. You are letting Colorado go to waste. All of it. Mad

It's really bad, I know, but the quarter is in full swing so I really have no time for climbing trips. Unsure I will fully admit that I squandered the interterm; however, I am not planning ANYTHING for summer, so hopefully I can get out then.

Thing is, you don't have to take "trips" anymore. You just have to drive 20 minutes out of the city and you can clip bolts at Golden; a perfect winter crag.

In my research of completely made up and anecdotal evidence, it's my expert opinion that when one lives closer to climbing, one tends to actually climb less.

Sum daze that is a very tempting thought. Yesterday being one of them. Other than I had no time to think yesterday.

Notice I said, "passing by." We'll be on our way from Grand Canyon to Kings Canyon and Yosemite/Tuolumne.

But if Kart waits for me, we'll spend a day in JTree. Heh.
